Cookie Dough Biscoff Brownie

There is a glimmer of sweetness during this time of quarantines and stay at home orders.   Sugar Vault bakery has been closed, but recently opened for curbside take out orders on Fridays and Saturdays.   

The response from the community has been amazing.  Sugar Vault releases its cupcake flavors and other dessert offerings first, then opens online ordering a noon 1 to 2 days before the pick-up date.   Sugar Vault sells out within 30 minutes of opening the online order page.  

I had to wait 3 weeks to place an order.  Sugar Vault has been that popular.  I am happy to report that I was able to place an order for pickup on May 8th.  I wanted the Cookie Dough Biscoff Brownie and the Chocolate Walnut Rum Cake.  I put both in my cart and before I could check out, the Brownie was sold out.  Can you believe that? Well, I did get to order the cake.  

On Friday, the pick-up time is 12:00pm – 2:00pm.  I arrived at 12:15pm and there was a line down the block.  Let’s discuss social distancing measures.  There is a table in front of the door with signs directing customers where to stand.  There is also a divider inside of the store that separates the baking area and display area from the outside.  Also, the storage carts are all covered with plastic.  So I was very pleased with the social distancing measures put in place.  All staff had on masks.

Once I got to the front, I was happy to see the baker herself as she passed by the front door.  I asked, “Do you have extra brownies?”   I am happy to report that they did have an extra brownie, just for me!!!!  I was able to pay for it via CashApp on the spot!

Y’all these desserts are delicious!!! I am so glad I got both of them.  I took only a few bites each day so that I could taste these delicious desserts for more than one day.  I ate the last bite of the Chocolate Walnut Rum cake on May 12, 2020.  The cake is balanced. It is firm, yet moist. Plus, I can most definitely taste the rum. That’s how much I wanted to preserve these desserts.

My favorite is the Cookie Dough Biscoff Brownie.  Every layer, every bite makes me want to take another bite.  The bottom layer is the ooey gooey brownie.  The middle layer is the chocolate chip cookie dough.  On top of that is a biscoff cookie layer, topped with a layer of fudge.  It is garnished with a drizzle of caramel and topped with a Biscoff cookie and Biscoff cookie crumbles.  I could eat this every day.   Thanks Sugar Vault for bringing some sweetness to this time of uncertainty.
